1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MatSci SERV ("the System"), operated by the Department of Materials Science, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University ("the Department", "we").

By signing in to and using MatSci SERV, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our related Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the System.

2. Description of Service

MatSci SERV is a system for submitting and tracking Department service requests, such as certificate requests, laboratory booking requests, and other related administrative services. The System is intended solely to facilitate services for students, staff, and visitors of the Department, and is not a commercial service.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must sign in using your own Google account (@chula.ac.th, @student.chula.ac.th, or a personal Gmail account)
• You must provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information when submitting requests
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. The System is not liable for any damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Certain forms are restricted to internal Department staff/students only ("Internal"), as designated within the System

4. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not use the System to:

1. Submit false requests or impersonate another person
2. Upload files containing malware, viruses, or unlawful content
3. Attempt to access other users' data or unauthorized parts of the System
4. Disrupt or interfere with the normal operation of the System (e.g. abnormal volumes of submissions)
5. Use the System for commercial purposes unrelated to Department business

The Department reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms, without prior notice.

5. Content and Files You Submit

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information and files you submit through the System. The Department will only use such data to the extent necessary to process your request, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Service Availability

The Department will make reasonable efforts to keep the System running securely and continuously, but does not guarantee it will be free of technical errors.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Department shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the System, except as otherwise required by law.

8. Intellectual Property

The MatSci SERV name, logo, design, and system components are the property of the Department of Materials Science, Chulalongkorn University. They may not be copied, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

9. Changes to These Terms

The Department may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the System or applicable law. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on this page, with the "last updated" date revised accordingly. Continued use of the System after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from use of the System shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Thai courts.
